Induced plant defenses across a nutrient gradient
One of my dissertation chapters focuses on a greenhouse study, where I examined the plasticity of plant defensive strategies (resistance and tolerance) in Solidago altissima across a nutrient gradient. Genotypes exhibited distinct responses in plant traits and patterns of allocation, which depended both on the nutrient level of the soil and the degree of herbivory.
